Getting Started

Whether a memorial scholarship or a field-of-interest scholarship, you are not only helping a student fulfill their dream, but keeping a memory and a passion alive.

All we need to get started is your mission statement and your tax-deductible donation. The Community Foundation of Carroll County accepts cash, stocks, bonds, life insurance policies and real and personal property. Many funds are started through bequests in wills, and through a variety of planned giving instruments.

All we need to get started is some general information. Please fill out the information below and we will contact you about creating your scholarship. At that time we can help you develop your scholarship criteria and discuss how we can best promote your scholarship to students.

  • Certificates, awards and other presentation materials can be created in-house.
  • Award payments are made directly to the student’s school of choice.
  • The Foundation’s investment policy preserves the principal of endowment funds, allowing grant making from your fund to continue for all time.
