2022-2023 Community Foundation of Carroll County Universal Scholarship Application
Graduating High School Seniors — 2023 Scholarship Season is now open! The Community Foundation of Carroll County supports more than 50 academic, sports, special circumstances, and 4-H scholarships. The common application is an easy way for students to APPLY ONCE and see all the scholarship opportunities they are eligible for (deadline April 15, 2023). 4-H Club Participants – Use the 4-H/FFA Scholarships common application for additional opportunities just for you (deadline July 1, 2023).

4-H Brenda Barber 4-H Family Memorial Scholarship | The purpose of The Brenda Barber Family Memorial Scholarship is to honor the life and family of Brenda Barber by providing scholarship(s) for graduating high school seniors and continuing students who are members of Carroll County 4-H Clubs. 4-H Danielle Knell Memorial 4-H Scholarship | The purpose of this scholarship is to honor the life of DANIELLE K. KNELL by providing scholarship(s) for college bound students in Carroll County, Maryland who have shown academic achievement and participated in the Carroll County 4-H Horsemanship Programs and who have been accepted at an accredited College, University or Technical School. Bethany Shay Green Memorial Scholarship | The purpose of the Bethany Shay Green Memorial Scholarship is to honor the life of Bethany Shay Green by providing scholarship(s) for a female Westminster High School graduating senior who has shown academic achievement and participated in the Softball, Volleyball and or Basketball programs and who has been accepted at an accredited College, University or Technical School. Carroll County Food Services Association Scholarship | The purpose of this Fund is to provide scholarships to seniors graduating from any public high school in Carroll County, Maryland. CASE Scholarship for Higher Learning | In an effort to encourage and retain membership, the Carroll Association of School Employees has established the CASE SCHOLARSHIP FOR HIGHER LEARNING, a scholarship fund of the Community Foundation of Carroll County, Inc. The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarships for members of CASE who wish to pursue higher learning. Charles Lewis Memorial Science & Engineering Scholarship | The Charles W. Lewis Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2004 by his family. Mr. Lewis did not have the advantage of monetary funds for college but he strongly believed in the value of education. As a result, during his lifetime, he tried to provide that support to others to help them achieve their educational goals. The purpose of this Fund is to provide a scholarship for a graduating senior of a Carroll County, Maryland, High School who will pursue a college education in Engineering, who has a financial need, who has exhibited academic achievement, and who has demonstrated involvement in his or her community. The student must have been enrolled at a Carroll County High School for his or her entire junior and senior years. Students enrolled in Engineering courses at the Carroll Career and Technology Center will be given special consideration. Danele Shipley Memorial Scholarship Fund | The Danele Shipley Scholarship Award Fund will provide financial assistance to a number of students from Carroll County to be determined based on the amount of money available in accordance with the terms of this agreement. Dream Big Union Bridge | The Dream Big Union Bridge Scholarship was established in 2021 by Dream Big Union Bridge. Georgia E Frank Scholarship | The mission of the Georgia E. Frank Scholarship Fund is to support graduating Carroll County high school students of all backgrounds and needs as they pursue their dreams of being a teacher. As Georgia was a life-long Family and Consumer Science teacher in Carroll County, this fund aims to invigorate, encourage, and support aspiring young educators as they transition from high school to the collegiate stages of their training. As a teacher, Georgia encouraged her students to love what they do, to do it well, in order to make the world around them a better place to live. Jared Lutz Memorial Scholarship | The purpose of the Jared Lutz Memorial Scholarship is to honor the life of Jared Lutz by providing scholarship(s) for a Liberty High School graduating senior who has shown academic achievement and has participated in the Academy of Health in the Nursing Sciences Program at Carroll County Career and Technology Center. The successful candidate will have been accepted at an accredited College or University. Jay A. Graybeal Scholarship | The purpose of the Jay A. Lee H Madairy Scholarship | The purpose of the Lee H Madairy Scholarship is to honor the life of Lee H. Madairy by providing scholarship(s) for a new or returning college or vocational program student who has shown academic achievement, excellent moral character and is pursuing a career in a STEM field. The successful candidate will have been accepted at an accredited College, University, or vocational program. The amount of money available each year for the scholarship(s) will be determined by the income generated by the fund.
