The purpose of the Toad Leigh Acres Conservancy Fund is to preserve and develop the woodlands located at 121 N. Springdale Rd. Westminster, MD 21158 as a forestry, water management and wildlife conservancy while providing educational service and volunteer opportunities for like-minded people in partnership with local public and private environmental, educational and conservation entities. We will also serve to provide philanthropic assistance to members of our community.

To create a second career for retired racehorses by training and educating the horse, our students and the general public.

Animal Rescue & Welfare
Tree of Friends Foundation

The purpose of this Fund is to address humanitarian needs which are not currently being met or are underserved in Carroll County, Maryland. By utilizing an established donor base and growing the network, The Tree of Friends will operate as an educational liaison to bring awareness to current community needs (established yearly or in response to a local tragedy) through various activities, including, but not limited to, hosting events, providing services, offering goods, and recruiting members in a fun and active environment. The proceeds of these activities will aid in the financial relief of the current need.

The purpose of this Fund shall be to support the efforts of the Donor to establish a fund that will provide assistance to the Carroll County Maryland alcohol and drug recovering community. The mission of TRC includes but is not limited to providing a clean, safe facility and environment in which to conduct twelve step meetings and other recovery events and activities.

The purpose of this Fund shall be to support the charitable efforts of the Valley Lions Club to make grants and scholarships in Carroll County.

Waste Not Carroll

The purpose of this Fund shall be to educate the citizens of Carroll County, Maryland about local efforts to reduce waste, save precious resources and ease the burden on our landfills. By working with businesses, citizens and government leaders, we hope to build on the county’s early efforts to develop sensible and sustainable alternatives to managing its solid waste. WASTE NOT! CARROLL will encourage public/private partnerships to realize effective resource recovery within Zero Waste concepts and practices, emphasizing reduction, reuse, recycling and composting.

Weber Sober Homes primary purpose is to provide Sober Living Homes provides supportive, safe, substance-free recovery residences for all guests living in our homes. We offer a structured safe home-like place, full of support for men and for women learning to live life without the use of alcohol or other drugs.

The Westminster Community of Shalom, Inc. is the local response to a national movement whose mission is to develop dynamic partnerships among churches, schools, colleges, community organizations, government, business, and citizens to transform systems and conditions that affect people’s lives.

Westminster Elementary School PTO

The purpose of this Fund shall be to support Westminster Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization to promote the partnership & involvement between parents, teachers and the school community at large. We envision a healthy, caring and encouraging educational and community environment for all students of Westminster Elementary. This fund shall provide the funding to meet these needs as agreed upon by the WES PTO executive board and its members.

Westminster Elks Charities

The purpose of the Westminster Elks Charities Fund shall be to support the efforts of the Donor to establish a fund that helps build a stronger community in Carroll County, Maryland. We will fulfill this pledge by working with and assisting our youth to develop lifelong skills, with college scholarships, drug awareness and supporting programs within the Boy and Girl Scouts. We will help to improve the quality of life within our community by funding and assisting organizations that work with families in need and support. Charity is the greatest virtue. By sharing and giving we have the power to replace sorrow and despair with home and confidence.

Westminster Fireworks Fund

The purpose of this Fund shall be to establish, maintain and support a professional fireworks display in the City of Westminster, Maryland on or about the forth of July each year as part of an all day event at the Carroll County Farm Museum, benefitting all of Carroll County and celebrating the Declaration of our Independence as a Nation.

Westminster High School Class of 1980

In 2010, a group of friends from the WHS Class of 1980 got together to raise funds and awareness to benefit local charities. Over the years, we have donated to several great charities and causes. And since 2017, we have hosted the WHS Class of 1980 Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Our tournament not only helps us in raising these funds, but provides a chance for our friends and families to have fun and together, make a difference.

Westminster Lions Foundation

The purpose of this Fund shall be to support the efforts of the Donor to establish a fund that will further the Westminster Lions Club’s commitment to support the activities of the charitable organizations of its community as well as services to the visually impaired including eyeglasses. The fund may also continue the Club’s tradition of providing scholarships to qualified graduating seniors of Westminster High School, Winters Mill High School and the Carroll County Career and Technology Center as funds are available.

Westminster Paide Partner City Fund

The purpose of this Fund shall be to support efforts to carry out the provisions of the Declaration of Understanding dated September 23, 2002, between Westminster, Maryland and Paide, Estonia which include cultural exchanges, economic development experiences, educational exchanges/scholarships, government employee exchanges and mutual philanthropy.

Westminster Pride Festival Fund

The purpose of the Westminster Pride Festival Fund exists to assure the success of a yearly festival that includes information, support, music, art, food and overall acceptance and solidarity within the LGBTQ+ community, their allies and the Carroll County community. The Westminster Pride Festival will create a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community to express themselves, increase visibility and foster respect for those who want to express their own sexual and gender identity. We endeavor to make this a yearly event that will ultimately lead to scholarships for the education of LGBQT+ students.

Community Events & Activiies
Westminster Track and Field Club

Cultivate a love of fitness, teamwork and camaraderie while building skills in running and field events in the youth of Carroll County. Based out of Westminster High School through the Westminster Area Rec Council, the Westminster Track and Field Club accepts all kids ages 6-18 (though high schoolers often choose to participate in their High School Track and Cross Country programs).

Westminster Youth Project

Westminster Youth Project is a youth-driven effort to determine the needs of the youth in Westminster, gather information about resources, and create an alliance to address the issues our youth are facing. The ultimate goal is to provide a space for youth who may be having a difficult time navigating the journey from adolescence to adulthood. A WYP Committee will be established, made up of youth leaders involved in the program. The committee will hold monthly meetings to discuss the current needs of underserved Carroll County youth and to vote on the best use of the funds raised.

At Whispering Woods Animal Safe Haven we are committed to providing a relentless voice and loving comfort for ALL animals in need. We believe every animal, large or small, is worthy of life, love, and compassion.

Winters Mill Choral Boosters

The purpose of this fund shall be to support student financial needs as related to the WMHS Choral and Instrumental music program needs and community performance trips and to provide a more rounded music and high school experience.
