Carroll County Music Teachers Association is a professional organization of music teachers within the Carroll County, Maryland area. We are affiliated with Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and Maryland State Music Teachers Association (MSMTA), offering a varietyof student activities and professional enrichment opportunities for our members

Carroll County Sheriff's Fund

The purpose of this Fund shall be to support the efforts of the Donor to establish a fund that will support the efforts of the Sheriff’s Office as it strives to provide exceptional police services not provided by public funds, to the citizens of Carroll County, Maryland

Community Services
Carroll County Valor Foundation

The purpose of this fund is to establish a fund that will support Carroll County citizens and their families who have been identified by The Valor Foundation These citizens may have suffered a severe injury or death; included in this class will be the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, Resident State Police, members of the Carroll County Fire Departments, Carroll County EMTs and Carroll County Municipal Police Departments. Grants may also be made to Carroll County members of the Maryland National Guard, United States Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Navy and Marine Corps. Support will include whatever is needed and/or his or her family maintain a normal quality of life. Grants may include but are not limited to accessibility ramps, widening doors, changes needed in vehicles and the purchase of needed supplies for the home.

Carroll Feral Cat Care

The goal of Carroll Feral Cat Care is to provide financial assistance with the spaying/neutering of feral/homeless cats to decrease the population of unwanted cats living in our community. Financial assistance will also help with providing food, shelter and assist with medical expenses when issues arise. Most importantly, educate the community on how humans and feral/homeless cats can live in harmony with each other.

Carroll L. and Susan M. Yingling Fund

The purpose of the Carroll L. and Susan M. Yingling Fund is to further or carry out the charitable, cultural, educational and scientific purposes of the Community Foundation of Carroll County, as set forth in its Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws, as amended from time to time.

Mission Statement: Assist students seeking private music instruction in Carroll County in selecting qualified independent musician-teachers, while providing support, resources, and guidance to help private music instructors serve students’ needs.

The purpose of this Fund shall be to build a sense of community by supporting and promoting interest in the study and performance of choral music in Carroll County, Maryland and, if funds are available, to make contributions to public charities in our community.

The purpose of this Fund shall be to provide assistance in the form of food and supplies to pet-owning families and individuals in Carroll County, Maryland who are experiencing financial difficulties and are in danger of losing or having to give up their pets for this reason.

Catherine's Cause

Catherine’s Cause is a foundation to fight drunk driving in Carroll County. The foundation was created by Philip and Cynthia Mullikin, who lost their daughter due to a drunk driver.

Center for Nonprofit Leaders

The Center for Nonprofit Leaders (CNL) serves nonprofit leaders in local communities, including our home base in Carroll County, Maryland, other states, territories, and some developing nations. Our purpose is to help nonprofits cultivate highly skilled leaders who strive to serve others, build better organizations, and ultimately achieve their mission. We do this by providing board members and senior staff with high-quality, affordable coaching, consulting, training, and resources in nonprofit leadership and management. Our focus is smaller to mid-sized nonprofits that are underserved by for-profit consulting/coaching firms.

CFCC Operating Fund

The Community Foundation of Carroll County is a public foundation dedicated to strengthening the community by meeting the needs of donors and nonprofits alike. Through the foundation’s management of charitable funds established by individuals, and through grants for community projects, the foundation helps area nonprofit agencies: • Meet basic human needs • Celebrate cultural diversity • Encourage cooperation among groups • Improve the quality of life and access to opportunities for residents of our community

Operating Fund
Chamber Music on the Hill

CMOTH is devoted to the performance of excellent chamber music in all its diversity at a price that is affordable to all members of our community. Chamber Music on the Hill is also dedicated to nurturing the musical interests of our young people. Students of all ages and children attend our concerts for free.

Charles and Patricia Witte Charitable Fund

The purposes of this Fund are to further or carry out the charitable, cultural, educational and scientific purposes of the Foundation, as set forth in its Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws, as amended from time to time.

Charlotte's Quest Manchester Park Foundation

The purpose of this Fund shall be to be good stewards of the environment by protecting the watershed area, our precious natural resources, providing a place where community members can connect with nature and provide educational programs for all ages.

Community Facilities/Parks
Children's Chorus of Carroll County

The Children’s Chorus exists to foster vocal development and musicianship through choral experience and was founded in 1986 by Diane Jones and Idalea Rubin. Members are chosen through an audition process and membership involves attendance at weekly rehearsals. The chorus has several main focuses: singing, sharing, learning, growing, and creating. The Children’s Chorus hopes to produce a life-long love and appreciation of the arts and music in its members.

Nonprofit Partner Fund
Cimino Blended Family Fund

The purpose of this Fund shall be to provide financial support to individuals, families and organizations seeking or providing education, counseling or other activities relating to the creation of Blended Families. A Blended Family shall be defined as the resulting family unit or potential family, created after the divorce and remarriage or pending remarriage of individuals with children. These services shall include but are not limited to pre-marital counseling, bonding opportunities, financial counseling, conflict resolution, child support enforcement and other activities that will help create a healthy family environment. A criteria and application will be developed that will provide guidance to the Community Foundation of Carroll County, Inc. for making distributions from the fund.

Citadel Skateboarding Foundation

The purpose of this Fund shall be to be partners with municipalities to revitalize local skatparks giving children and families a safe space to practice a healthy lifestyle while hosting family friendly events and providing education and leadership through skateboarding and creative arts programs to engage the community and mentor Carroll County youth.

The purpose of this Fund is to provide funding for the programs, of the Taneytown Community Center in Taneytown, Maryland.

Provide community conferencing services as a juvenile diversion for youth in Carroll County.

Community of Compassion

The purpose of this Fund shall be to provide financial assistance to families in Carroll County, Maryland dealing with the catastrophic illness or injury of a member of the family, as the result of accident, fire or natural or man made disaster.

Community of Compassion- Brantley the Brave

Brantley was diagnosed with B-cell All Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on August 12, 2020. After 2 weeks of fever and ear infection that was not going away we finally demanded blood work. When the pediatrician called the next morning they told us to immediately go to Hopkins. My husband holds the insurance and had to continue working. I had to quit my job to be a full time caregiver to my son. The first month of treatment we remained inpatient at John’s Hopkins because his counts were not good. Also during that first month, Brantley developed bi-lateral kidney stones. He had to have emergency surgery to put stints in his ureters to bypass the stones. He has to have several surgeries to remove the stones and stints one ureter at a time.

Community of Compassion- Crawford Family

The goal of this fund is to keep Randy and his family in their home. During this difficult time Lisa has had to leave her professional life behind to become a full time care giver. Last summer they thought they were saying goodbye twice but were happy that Randy made it through another Christmas with them.
