How do we quantify the impact of the Community Foundation of Carroll County on the community? By highlighting the amazing work and impact of the nonprofits we serve.
- Since 2013, 50 scholarships totaling $48,000 have been awarded to Carroll County high school seniors through the Rita Medeiros Scholarship by Rita’s Closet. In 2023 they reached their goal of awarding a student in every Carroll County high school – that’s $8,500 to nine students!
- The Ellsworth Cemetery Fund was created to repair, maintain and preserve the historic Ellsworth Cemetery in Westminster, funding more than $67,000 in repairs thanks to its efforts to raise more than $98,000 in donations and grants since 2012.
- One of our newest clients, Action for Kindness, hit the ground running, awarding more than $6,200 in community grants since 2022 and raising over $13,000 to fund its mission.
- The Children’s Chorus of Carroll County has made an impact that goes well beyond dollars by introducing music performance to more than 2,500 children and reaching countless audience members from right here to as far as Estonia, Sweden and Finland over 30+ years.
The Community Foundation of Carroll County is a public foundation dedicated to strengthening the community by meeting the needs of donors and nonprofits alike. Through the foundation’s management of charitable funds established by individuals, the foundation helps area nonprofit agencies live out their mission in our community through donors, grants, public support, and the vision and drive of our partner nonprofits.
